Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Stroll along the Corniche, enjoy a fresh seafood dinner, or simply relax before your adventure begins. Overnight in Casablanca.
After breakfast, travel to Rabat, Morocco’s laid-back capital, where history and charm meet the sea. Visit the Royal Palace, the towering minaret of Hassan Tower, and the blue-and-white lanes of the Oudaias Kasbah. Continue through rolling hills and Rif mountain scenery until the blue-washed village of Chefchaouen appears like a dream. Leave the Rif Mountains and head south to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, with its remarkably preserved mosaics and ruins. Next, explore Meknes, once the capital of Morocco, where you’ll see the monumental Bab Mansour Gate, lively souks, and historical granaries. Arrive in Fes, where your riad awaits inside the walls of Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Overnight in Fes.
A full day is dedicated to discovering Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the spiritual heart of Morocco. Your local guide will lead you through a labyrinth of narrow alleys, past aromatic spice markets, colorful tanneries, ancient madrasas, and the world’s oldest university, Al Quaraouiyine. Explore artisan workshops where traditional crafts have been preserved for centuries. Overnight in Fes.
Journey south through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests where Barbary macaques roam. Stop in the alpine-style town of Ifrane, then continue through Azrou and Midelt before reaching the lush Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and fortified villages. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara. Ride camels into the dunes, watch the sun set over the golden sands, and enjoy a traditional dinner with Berber music in a luxury desert camp under a sky filled with stars. Overnight in Merzouga.
Wake early to watch the desert sunrise before returning by camel. Visit Rissani, famous for its bustling market and as the cradle of the Alaouite dynasty. Continue to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, where sheer rock walls soar 300 meters above a crystal-clear river. By evening, reach the Dades Gorges for a scenic drive through “monkey finger” rock formations. Dinner and overnight in a charming guesthouse overlooking the valley.
