3 days tour from Fes to Merzouga desert

We depart Fes in the morning and travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland” of Morocco, followed by a visit to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to the Barbary macaques. We continue through Midelt and the Ziz Valley, with its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner, Berber music by the campfire, and overnight stay in a luxury desert camp under the starry Sahara sky.

After breakfast, we spend the day exploring the wonders of the Merzouga desert. Our 4x4 adventure takes us to Khamlia village to enjoy live Gnawa music, then to meet nomadic families living in traditional tents. We’ll explore fossil fields, seasonal lakes (if present), and panoramic viewpoints over the Erg Chebbi dunes. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. In the late afternoon, you can take another camel ride or simply relax and enjoy the desert atmosphere. Dinner and overnight in Merzouga luxury desert camp.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast before departing. Our first stop is Rissani, a historic trading town famous for its traditional souk. We then drive north through the mountains, passing Midelt for lunch, and continuing via Azrou and Ifrane for short breaks. Arrival in Fes is in the late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable 3 days Merzouga desert adventure.
